Vintage Look-With Modern Flair

I just posted these Lagoon Chandelier Earrings on Etsy. I don't usually make vintage-looking jewelry, but lately I've been trying my hand at it since it seems to be very popular on Etsy.
I'm not sure what I would call my own style, but I guess I just try to make things that are in style or that go with things that are in style, so that my jewelry is more marketable. It's such a dilemma that I experience on an ongoing basis. Does anyone else experience this? On the other hand I also try to make things that are, what I think, very unique. This is also to try to raise marketability. Hence my dilemma. Any comments?

I think you did make it your own with the chains attached throughout - I experience it as well - I am having a difficult time deciding exactly what sells in Etsy - except things that are way underpriced - I love your earrings, they are envious -
